Bodog's 15 Year Anniversary Celebration

bodog_15_year_anniversary.jpg

Bodog is celebrating their 15th year online with a whole series, 15 days worth to be exact, of poker tournaments ending in a $15,000 freeroll poker tournament taking place on October 15th.

It was 15 years ago that Bodog.com opened its doors to the world and to celebrate this landmark achievement with online poker players, Bodog.com is hosting its 15 Days of Poker Tournament Series, a series of 15 qualifying tournaments culminating with a final freeroll event on Oct. 15 where a group of lucky players will battle it out for a share of a $15,000 prize pool.

"For 15 years, Bodog has been a leader in the online gambling industry, giving players a superior gaming experience while awarding billions in prizes," says Bodog.com Poker Pro David Williams. "And Bodog.com's 15 Days of Poker tournament series gives online poker players a fun and profitable way to celebrate this colossal achievement with Bodog."

The prize pool in each qualifying tournament will be distributed the same way it would be in a regular Bodog tournament, but the top 30% of finishers from each event will earn Tournament Leaderboard Points, which determine who moves on to the 15 Days of Poker Semi Final and the $15,000 Final Tournament.

The Semi Final Tournament will be held on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 8:15 pm EST, with the field consisting of those placing in 16th to 115th place on the 15 Days of Poker leaderboard as well as players who have competed in at least 10 qualifying events. The top 15 finishers in the Semi Final earn an automatic entry into the $15,000 Final Tournament. The winner also gets a seat in the weekly Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed online poker tournament, and the remaining top 14 finishers each win a seat in a $100,000 qualifier.

Bodog.com's 15 Days of Poker celebration culminates on Oct. 15 at 8:15 pm EST with the $15,000 Final Tournament. In addition to the top 15 finishers from the Semi Final, the freeroll event will be open to players placing 1 through 15 on the 15 Days of Poker leaderboard and those who competed in at least 15 qualifying tournaments. The $15,000 prize pool will be distributed in usual tournament fashion, and the top 15 finishers will also win T$162 to play in the Bodog $100,000 Guaranteed, held every Sunday at 4:00 pm EST.

Cherry Red Casino Game Spotlight - Sic Bo

cherry_red_sic_bo.jpg

Sic Bo, also sometimes called Big and Small or Hi-Lo, is a game of chance played with three dice. The game is of ancient Chinese origin and is very popular in Asia, as well as European and American casinos.

Cherry Red offers the classic version of Sic Bo in which players predict what will come up with the toss of the dice. Players can bet on specific numbers, a pair of numbers, a three of a kind roll, or a whole series of other possibilities. Obviously, the rarer the combination, the higher the payout.

New Online Gambling Advertising Campaign Launches

end_prohibition.jpg

The lobbying effort against the UIGEA is ramping up as the Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative has launched an online advertising campaign in support of H.R. 2267, the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection and Enforcement Act of 2009. This is the legislation that would permit licensed gambling operators to accept wagers inside the U.S. The group estimates that $62.7 billion in revenue could be collected by the government in the first decade alone.

This legislation, which has numerous bipartisan co-sponsors and enjoys the support of several powerful Committee Chairmen, is being touted by the Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative as a good way for Congress to raise extra money for healthcare reform and other government programs. Maybe raising the prospect of starting a war with a small country would get Congress interested. At the same time, the campaign expresses support for letting people make their own decisions, carrying Libertarian tones and comparing Internet gambling prohibition to alcohol prohibition. This tactic will hopefully have the benefit of appealing to a much wider segment of viewers.

CNBC reports that the ads will appear on the websites of the Washington Post, The Hill, Politico, The Huffington Post, Political Wire and Talking Points Memo.

Fore more information on this new campaign, please visit the Safe and Secure Internet Gambling Initiative.

Mid-Life Crisis Progressive Jackpot Just Under $1 Million

midlifecrisis_sep_09.jpg

The Mid-Life Crisis Progressive Jackpot has been climbing steadily recently and the main jackpot now stands at just under $1 Million. Mid-Life Crisis is a video slot with 5 reels and 9 paylines. The standard coin is $.25, but to bet max on all 9 lines (and therefore be eligible for the progressive jackpot), a player has to bet 45 coins. That's $11.25 per spin in the hopes of winning about $1 Million.

Since this progressive slot is a part of the Realtime Gaming software network it is available at several casinos I have reviewed here at OGP, Rushmore Casino, Cherry Red, and Slots Oasis.

Two Great Sportsbooks for NFL and NCAA Football

nfl_ncaa.jpg

The day that millions of Football fans have been waiting for is right around the corner. College ball starts tomorrow and the first regular NFL game will be the week after, the first game of the season featuring the Titans at the Steelers.

This season there are two online sportsbooks that bettors should, in my opinion, be using for every sports bet they place; Bodog and BetUS. Both of these books allow betting on all NFL games, NCAA Division I games, player prop bets, team prop bets, exhibition bets, and more. Check Bodog during the games for live action betting opportunities.

Create a free account in minutes and make a deposit using any of their banking methods, credit cards being the quickest and easiest form available. Good luck to all sports bettors this season.

Rome Casino's Banking Options

Rome Casino has ten methods of depositing and withdrawing funds to an account. The first way to deposit, the most obvious, and the most efficient is the use of credit cards; Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. While Rome accepts these credit cards, the credit card companies themselves will not always allow the funds to go through, usually for American players but not always. There's no point in not trying though.

There are also the EcoCard, Use My Wallet, eWalletXpress, NETeller, Echeck, Wire Transfer, Click2Pay, Moneybookers, and Diners Club International options. These are all well established methods and players can use them with confidence. First time withdrawals will require a form to authenticate the person is who they say they are, but after that process is completed it's easy going from there on.
