Getting Started at Full Tilt Poker

|

For some, installing software on their computer is a simple task that can be done almost without thinking about it; click a few buttons, maybe change the location and it's done. But for others, people who don't use computers very often or even at all, playing the game is what's important and it can be frustrating not being able to get the game running easily. And unlike other programs, after Full Tilt is installed players are going to be making deposits and want to be at ease knowing that the transfer is handled quickly and securely. This post breaks things down into a simple step by step process that will have you enjoying the poker game of your choice at Full Tilt in a matter of minutes.

The first thing to do is to click Full Tilt to visit their website. After a very quick download the installation program is ready to be run, this installer will then download all the updated files from Full Tilt's servers and finish installing the program. The program is installed like this, which isn't how most programs are installed, because Full Tilt regularly updates their software with new features, bonuses, and security upgrades. In other words, it ensures that every player has the newest version of the software.

When looking at Full Tilt's website recently, I noticed a new button in the top left called 'Take Our Tour' and after clicking the button an interactive pop-up opened with details on all of Full Tilt's features. This seemed like an important and useful tool for people who haven't had a chance to play poker online or see one of their friends do it; the tour highlights all of the things that you'll want to look for while logged on to the server. New players will find this helpful and can give it a look-through while their software is being downloaded and installed.

Now that you've installed the software and possibly taken the short tour, you're ready to make a deposit and start playing some poker. So far you've probably only spent a few minutes getting things to this point, and it will only take a couple more. There are a variety of banking methods available for players to use, and people living outside the U.S. have several more than those living inside. I usually have a couple hundred dollars in my account, and for me (living in the U.S.) it's possible to use my credit card to make instant deposits, I find this to be the fastest and easiest way of making deposits. For withdrawals, everyone will be able to use NETeller except for those inside the U.S., who will have to wait for a check to arrive. Full Tilt has more detailed information listing the available methods for depositing and withdrawing in the cashier section of their software.

And with the cash deposited, you can sit down at any of the thousands of different Table Games, Sit n Go's, and Tournaments and test your skills against the many players at one of the largest online poker rooms on the net. Since everyone who has read this post most likely does not have an account at Full Tilt I'll point out the welcome bonus being offered to new players; your first deposit up to $600 will be doubled by Full Tilt as you play. You won't receive the bonus all in one lump sum, this is necessary because Full Tilt can't give out money and then have players simply withdraw the free money, so players receive the cash in payments corresponding to how many hands they have played. This works out great because it turns into a steady stream of cash that is constantly added to your account as you play, and with poker a player should never sit down with their entire bankroll anyway.

Hopefully online poker newbies have found this helpful. You are now ready to enjoy poker with thousands of other players at Full Tilt.

The Games at Full Tilt Poker

|

Full Tilt offers all the popular games at it's poker room, and at all stakes. Poker players can enjoy a Stud Hi game at .25/.50 or play Texas Hold'em No Limit at $2/$4. There are thousands and thousands of tables available at all times of the day and night, meaning players will never have to deal with signing into a poker room and finding empty tables and no opponents.

There are also hundreds of different tournaments going on constantly. Sit and go's are always filling up and start as soon as the player requirement is met, usually taking no more than 2 to 10 minutes. Or players can pay attention to the daily/weekly schedule of multi-table tournaments and join one early or win entry in a satellite tournament.

Full Tilt and WSOP Championship

|

Full Tilt has run the last World Series of Poker Championship satellite tournament, but 363 Full Tilt players are going to compete at the Championship. Including ten Full Tilt team members, all of these players have won the $10,000 entry fee but most of them have also won an extra $2,000 for air fare and hotel costs. The main event starts in seven days and will initially last 11 days, with the final table being played in early November.

While it's too late to win entry into the main event, Full Tilt is still offering hundreds of different poker tournaments and thousands of cash games to participate in. And for players who didn't win a big satellite this year, Full Tilt will be back next year offering hundreds of opportunities for players to go to the WSOP.

Full Tilt - Refer a Friend

|

These days poker players have a good idea of where they can play online. Between the television commercials, the reviews on thousands of web sites, and sponsorships of professional poker players, it's easy to find an online poker room. However, some people may not know of all the benefits that come with being a devoted player at a poker room.

One benefit for players at Full Tilt is that they, after receiving their initial welcome bonus, can get more free money just by telling their friends about the site and having them sign up. If your friend signs up and lists you as the referrer, you and the friend will both receive cash from Full Tilt. You will receive up to $100 and your friend will receive up to $25, on top of their initial bonus of up to $600.

As in previous years, players at Full Tilt will have many chances to win their way to the WSOP Main Event through satellite tournaments. Players can compete to be one of fifty winners of a completely free seat at the main event, or put down some cash and buy in to one of the satellites for $216, $322, $535, or $1,060. There are also numerous satellites to the satellites, providing thousands of opportunities to win a seat at the main event. As of today there are 349 confirmed winners of the grand prize at Full Tilt.
